Imports of coffee into Australia rise to A$836 million as cafe and restaurants sales surpass $A44 Billion in 2017

Australia’s consumption of coffee continues at record levels with as imports of coffee (A$836 million) and cooking chocolate (A$659 million) rose to $1.5 billion in 2017.

According to Cafe Coach the mark-up on a cup of coffee can be upwards of 300%.

Average Price of a Coffee $3.50 – $4.50
Net Profit ($2.50 – $3.50 per cup) 300% – 400%
